All these years, I have lived a well-planned life. Okay, mostly. I've always had my planner with me, a pen, notebook, notepad or anything that I could use for jotting down.
I want my day to be planned to avoid unfavorable circumstances. I was afraid to make mistakes for having to allow things to flow in many different ways. I want everything to go as planned. Most of the time, I succeed but there are times that I don't and it frustrates me. It takes me down. So now, I don't want to force things to happen anymore. I won't try so hard to control my life.
It's not easy but slowly, I'm learning to just let things be.
Not all the things that I want will fall into my lap but I'm sure what's meant for me will eventually find me. I'm not going to be passive but I won't fight a losing battle.
I’m trying to be patient with myself. Taking it easy on myself and my plans seem hard but it helps. I’m learning to be kind to myself when I fall while making my dreams come true.
I’m learning to forgive myself for my mistakes and let them be lessons instead of labels. I’m learning to let these mistakes prove that I’ve tried; that I didn’t always play it safe, that I went for things I was unsure of and that I took chances.
I'm slowly learning to take a longer route without caring whether I get lost because at the end of it, I know I'll find my place. I’m learning that I won’t always get what I want but life will give me what I need.
It's not easy but slowly, I'm learning to just let things be.

The great majority, especially the Filipinos, still live in rented homes. And I am one of the majority. Since I started working, I've been renting rooms, apartment and now, a condominium near my workplace.
Like others, I also wanted to have a place that I can call my own but I have to wait years for me to afford my dream house, hence I'm renting a condo in the metro. But I've come to realize that what I'm paying monthly for the rent and bills go for nothing when I can pay the same price to get my own, especially now that the competition among the real estate developers are becoming tight, they offer the most they can to get the clients' value for money.
By the way, just a side note: If you're planning to buy a commercial real estate property, make sure to get a phase 1 ESA (environmental site assessment). This assessment is crucial because it protects the landowner's liability, especially in those commercial real estate transactions
HBI boasts its patented loft design carefully crafted to maximize space
However, another thing that concerns me when living in a condo is the limited space. And because of that, I've been thinking of ideas on how to maximize the condo space without having to spend more— from using dividers to loft designs, name it, I already imagined that.
Good thing, I found about Honeycomb Builders, Inc.'s space-smart urban loft concept which features distinctive unit cuts to enable comfortable modern living for starting families and young professionals like me.
Each unit is fully-furnished upon turnover
At an average unit size of 24 sqm, the 2-bedroom Urban Loft boasts of 11.2 ft. floor-to-ceiling height.
HBI's loft idea is expanded to integrate space-saving and practical features like built-in cabinets, foldable kitchen nook, multi-purpose table, aircon duct system, and a water-recycling sink in the bathroom. While there is a bedroom at the mezzanine level, there is still a dedicated living area where one can entertain guests with privacy. The half-stairs design of the units also utilizes the bare space above the bathroom and kitchenette.
The Cost
With Urban Loft, you get to pay a 2-bedroom pad at a price of a studio unit. But that's not all, you will definitely live the sweet life with HBI because you don't have to worry about the interior must-haves like the furniture; HBI's units are already fully-furnished. Meaning, you only get to worry about when to move in!

Bedroom 2 (a bit smaller than the master's bedroom)
The fully-furnished package includes a sofa, tables and chairs, mattresses, refrigerator, TV, air conditioning unit, and washing machine among others. The full glass sliding windows on the balcony also allow abundant natural light that brightens the living area.

The wind whispers
you've gained weight.
The birds tell me
you've changed your hair.
I keep mum.
The wind then again whispers
you're seeing someone new,
I tell them I don't care
while listening to them
describe every detail.
A lot of friends and readers compliment my top. It's cute, fun, vibrant and just give a happy vibe, right? Just perfect to pair with almost anything. But you know what? This isn't actually a top. It's a romper.
I paired it with this elephant pants from Uniqlo Philippines, my white platforms and an abaca bag to achieve a bohemian and kind of island vibe look. I wore this during the Safilo's event in Manila last October 11 where they launched a classic and luxurious collection from some of the world's renowned brands in the fashion industry.

Safilo, an Italian brand eyewear since 1934, makes its way to the Philippines as it launches its line last October 11, 2018 at the Manila House Private Club in Taguig.
The brand is known for its finesse line of eyewear promising fit, finish and comfort that is built to last. Just reading the title, perhaps many of you would already cringe to the thought of it 'cause seriously, who would wear a coat in the Philippine heat?
But, why not? Can't you really?
If you're a fan of four seasons and residing in a tropical country like me, most probably you'd be dying to wear coats, too. Aside from being a staple in the winter closet, coats are fashion statements. So, wearing this in the Philippine weather may not be too forgiving, right? But that doesn't mean it's a no-go. You just have to know the right pieces to pair with your coat.
What I did here is I paired my pastel blue coat with a white tank top and powder blue trousers. You see the combination? Everything is in light colors.
Quick guide to pull off a coat outfit in the Philippines:
- Choose a light fabric coat
- Wear a sleeveless, tank top or any thin tops that you could wear underneath
- Pair it with a skirt or in this case, a light-colored trousers
- Choose the colors wisely. The lighter your clothes are, the more you'll feel at ease
