How to Make a Good Impression

There are only two things that impression could do: it will make or break you. People's impression of you will become your brand so you better make a good one or else start packing up.

But how do you make sure that their impression of you is something worth remembering?

I'm sure you've already heard that it only takes 30 seconds to make an impression. That's how quick it is. Before you even spill your first word, people have already judged you and a better way to land a good one is to build a good image.

Last March 11, I attended a workshop on helping us achieve a winning image. It was fun and fruitful. I met new people and learned a lot from the speakers.

What they taught us:
  • Basic makeup
  • Proper way of dressing up for every occasion
  • Proper posture
  • Dinner etiquette
  • And how to walk like a model

One thing I liked was about the power of dressing.

I firmly believe that dressing could give a huge impact to your image. But I was surprised to know that the colors you wear have something to do with your personality and position... in short, it defines you. The speaker said, dark colors portray authority and that explains why CEOs and other bosses wear dark colors. Interesting, huh?

Let not the colors or the clothes define you. Use your abilities and let your success be your noise (sounds familiar?)

It is not really on what you wear but how you carry yourself with the right attitude is what makes a good image.
