February 25, 2020 Tagaytay, Philippines
Feb-ibig may be nearing its end but love is still in the air in the highlands of Tagaytay because of the cool climate that lingers all-year round.
However, things have slightly changed in the tourism scene of Tagaytay and Batangas because of the Taal Volcano eruption last January 12, 2020. What was once an icon of wonderment became the great affliction of almost 350,000 people. But amid the destruction, some were spared including the scenic Canyon Woods Resorts Club.
Because of this, Canyon Woods, together with the local government unit of Laurel, Batangas, launched Share Hope Task Force: Alagang Lawa— a housing project for the homeless due to the Taal Volcano eruption as a way to give back.
Before the housing project, Canyon Woods already had a prior event for the benefit of the Taal victims. They held a "Golf for a Cause," a by-invitation golf tournament to all Canyon Woods Resorts Club members, Canyon Woods Homeowners and Corporate Partners.
Canyon Woods Chairman George Go reiterated that Batangas is their home so, they want to help the locals in any way they can to move forward after the disaster. He also said that not all businesses in Batangas were affected so it’s essential to continue the support to Batangas by supporting the local tourism.
"Handa na, ligtas, at kaaya-aya na ang Laurel," said the town Mayor Joan Amo. In fact, they are already planning for the town's big event, The Tilapia Festival that will happen on June 21.

Why would you settle for a basic cover-up when you can pull-off a whole tropical aesthetic look? Trust me, there are so many beach outfit ideas that go far beyond swimsuits and sunnies! So if you're looking for a little something more, then this beach outfit inspiration is for you! World, meet the perfect breezy maxi dress perfect for the beach! Wearing maxi dress at the beach could save your comfort and beach fashion life!
Another thing I love about beach maxi dress is that, it is perfect for any summer occasion. All I need is to just add a good pair of slides then I'm all set.
One con that I experienced wearing maxi dress at the beach is that, I need to pull it up or hold it when I need to pass through the water because I don't want it to get wet. This won't be an issue to people who don't mind. But overall, a beach maxi dress is the perfect beach outfit!
What's your favorite beach outfit? :)

What does your workplace mean to you? To some employees, they just see their daily jobs and their workplace only as a venue to earn, and nothing more. But did you know that one of the biggest factors that makes employees motivated and stay in a company is a good workplace?
Here in the Philippines, there is one company that has been successfully redefining the workplace— TDCX. They have exceptionally homey work environment and welcoming culture, combined with great compensation and retention programs that are all purposely designed to make employees happy, and even happier as time goes by.
A day in the life at TDCX
Jeally Ann “JJ” Caramayan, SME (Subject Matter Expert) and Rhinnon “Rhy” Pamintuan, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Officer at TDCX Philippines give us a glimpse of their lives inside the multi-awarded Business Process Outsourcing firm and share their daily experiences at their spacious, uniquely designed, “Biophilia” office space.
The Small Things that Matter
A communicator and dancer by heart, JJ has never planned on joining the BPO industry. “I have dreamt of becoming a courtside reporter as I really like talking to people. However, due to my life circumstances, I had to enter the industry at 18 years old to survive. It proved to be the best environment I can ever enter,” she says.
Having opened its first office in the Philippines only in 2014, JJ had only known TDCX through a friend, who fondly shared his experiences with the company. Now, she can vouch for herself that the stories were true— everything at TDCX is aligned to bring out the best in her, down to the small things that encourage her to be a better person.
“If you have a healthy and happy environment, you wouldn’t be able to feel the stress. To be very honest, I was able to witness it for myself that the culture here is different. Here, you will totally feel that you are at home. You totally feel comfortable.”
JJ admits that TDCX brought out her inner self. What she likes about the company is the people working there. Everyone smiles at each other, even the bosses! She shares, the bosses will roam around the office all-smiles, giving a pat on the back, and will come over to smile or compliment their employees. It's the little things that matter. With just a simple recognition from the boss for a job well-done makes an employee motivated already.
She further revealed that having great leaders and mentors inside the company inspired her to be so much more than she initially aspired to be. “I admit I didn’t start and did well right away, but I’m grateful to have leaders who didn’t give up on me in helping me achieve my goals and in giving a good picture of the future they see in me. That helped me a lot to be where I am today.”
After only two years with the BPO firm, JJ is now handling her own team.
A Company with a Heart
Rhy, meanwhile, is a CSR officer/entrepreneur/senior Master of Arts in Development Policy student. He may be handling a lot of roles, but his flexible schedule and staying with a company that has the same values as his make everything so much easier.
What keeps him energized is the amazing environment he works in, the people he interacts with, and the support of the management for the CSR activities they launch in different sites.
“It has been a dream for me to work in a company with diverse people. It doesn’t feel crazy busy when you have a heart in what you do. I am humbled by the amazing opportunity to impact lives with TDCX which truly is a company with a heart,” shares Rhy.
“I see people here valuing other people’s welfare, satisfaction, wellness, and relationships, inside and outside the company. We have CSR efforts for the environment, education, and enterprise development launched every month,” he further explains.
TDCX, through its social arm TDheart, regularly participates in blood donation drives for Philippine Red Cross, volunteers for the nationwide Brigada Eskwela Program, and helps provide market access to local entrepreneurs through Caritas Margins, among other initiatives.
Aside from the sense of strong purpose that he is able to nurture with the company, Rhy, like JJ, also enjoys the value of a beautifully-designed office, caring leadership, and people development trainings that allow him to reinvent himself and pursue growth.
“All sides of our office are worth posting in social media. My favorite spot are the meeting pods at the Gamma 21 – I love the huge windows, the sun kissing your face, a pot of plant on the side and the perfect room temperature. Biophilia it really is!” he shares.
People enjoying their stay in a company, like Rhy and JJ, can only be achieved by a culture that sees employees for the individuals that they are – with different strengths, personalities, and interests. TDCX has always made employees its priority not only in terms of lowering its attrition rate, but the commitment takes root from a deep sense of compassion that has been steering the company for more than 20 years across its offices in Asia and in Europe.
More information on TDCX is available at https://www.facebook.com/tdcx.philippines/. To join TDCX or learn about career opportunities, contact tdcx.com/careers or (02)8862-9500.

The cold season is still upon us, here in the Philippines at least, but it's always summer somewhere, right? Whether you're able to visit the beach once a year or once a week, you're about to come across the same conundrum— what to wear to the beach? Because other than the cute and chic swimsuits, we run out of beach outfit ideas.
Sure, nothing beats the bikinis and sunnies while sitting on the sand, but sometimes, you’re in need of something a little more. For times when you’re unsure of what to wear to the beach, it’s always best to turn to Google for answers, hence the pool of beach outfit ideas from the experts a.k.a. the bloggers.
However, most often than not, you'll get the same answer. So to help you slay your beach fashion, I'll give you a unique beach outfit idea that will totally make you stand out.
Put your maxi dresses on a rest for now and go for a boho outfit for the beach by wearing coordinates. Here, I wore an olive green coordinates from a local online shop. I like how the cropped top could also double as a bikini top and pairing it with a flowy midi skirt. It's very comfortable and breezy when worn, just perfect for the beach.
I also accessorized my clothes with the half moon layered necklace to achieve the boho outfit for the beach.
And to store all my things, I used my handmade macramé bag that I did on my own.
Things you need to achieve a boho outfit for the beach:

Oftentimes, the photos we see online are either enhanced a little or deeply retouched especially when it comes to editorial magazines. So people need to realize that it is not always what it seems online and in glossy magazines.
Good thing, with the fashion industry inching towards representation of diversity, more brands and public figures have been embracing the authenticity of beauty.
Perhaps some would think that posting these photos takes a lot of courage because of my tiger stripes but to me, it's just another beach photo. I've never been ashamed of my stretch marks.
They may not be too appealing to others but to me, stretch marks are beautiful and it represents the truth. There's authenticity. Let's stop thinking about the "standards" of beauty and just learn to love your lines and your self completely.

Ever wondered why models' tops are sleek and tucked in seamlessly, while yours are loosely? Their secret is wearing a bodysuit!
What is a bodysuit?
Bodysuits are one-piece garments, similar to a leotard or one-piece swimsuit, that come in a range of styles—from long-sleeved to spaghetti strapped and skintight. It is an instant body shaper for women. Usually, there are small snaps at the crotch of the bodysuit to keep it secure, but some bodysuits function more like a one-piece swimsuit with no snaps.
So why would you want to wear one?
Because they are absolutely chic and classy! They function as any shirt would (except a crop top), but have the added benefit of tucking in seamlessly to whatever bottoms you choose to pair it with. Most bodysuits also provide tension from the shoulders to the crotch to help play up your curves.
When dressing up especially for a professional outfit, bodysuit is a great option to keep your look sleek and tucked in all day. Their close-to-the-body silhouette also makes them perfect for layering under blazers and jackets.
But some women don't like to wear bodysuits because it's very hassling to wear especially when going to the restroom. These types of bodysuit are the ones like one-piece bathing suits. Sure, they look fit and sexy when worn but when there's the call of nature, it really takes time to take them off and wearing them again. However, there are other types of bodysuits that have snaps on the crotch part. These are easier to wear.
Where to get one?
There are many undergarments shops where you can get bodysuits but if you're too busy to get out of the house, perhaps you could check out Cosmolle Shapewear. It is an online shop that sells bodysuits and best shapewear shorts for women of all sizes.
Whether you are petite, plus-size or anywhere in between, they've got you covered with their amazing fits and styles.
While other brands claim to shape or control, Cosmolle's focus has always been to enhance a woman’s body and not to squeeze it uncomfortably.
Cosmolle began with the idea that every woman deserves to be comfortable, look good, and feel confident every day. The most important part of what they do is empowering women to embrace their curves and be comfortable.
November 16, 2019 Cebu, Philippines
Out of the two seasons we have here in the Philippines, summer is the one I'm more excited about. I love dressing up like it's forever summer. Even on rainy days, I’m more likely to reach for a simple dress or relaxed type of clothing, rather than structured or detailed pieces I love wearing throughout the rest of the year.
During my recent trip to Cebu, I only brought pieces that are lightweight and comfy to wear which include several swimsuits, airy tops and shorts, and this co-ords (short for coordinates) from Kindle Clothing.
I've been meaning to buy co-ords for quite a time now because I love how stylish they are and the fact that you can pair them with anything you like. It's like a romper or jumpsuit. But the best thing about it is, you won't have to take off everything when going to pee or... ;)
This shot was taken at The Pyramid in Cebu City. The place resembles to that of Louvre Museum in Paris but in Cebu, it's not a museum but a restaurant inside. It's a great location for shoots, too.

November 8, 2019 Laguna, Philippines
Laguna is a popular out of town and quick getaway destination to Filipinos because of its nearness in Metro Manila. To get there, it will only take about at least two hours of travel time from the city.
Most people who visit Laguna are either hiking up the mountains or swimming in hot springs and lakes. But for those who are craving something new and exciting in this part of Luzon, here is something you should include in your bucket list.
Liliw, Laguna is famous for its reputation in the shoe-making industry but other than that, there’s more to see in this quaint and humble town. It’s a bit far from the center of the province so it could take about 3 to 4 hours of travel time from Manila to get there. It may seem a long drive but it is still worth the trip. There, you will find a hidden gem— the Esmeris Farm.
Esmeris Farm is a quiet and serene place, perfect for people who just want to take a breather from their stressful lives and enjoy the simple beauty of nature.
Before setting your feet on the farm, you will have to walk about 400 meters from the parking area. It’s like you’re hiking up the mountains because Esmeris farm is literally hidden from the busy town proper. While this might seem exhausting, there’s no other feeling but satisfaction when you make it to the farm.
What will welcome you is a vast greenery and fresh air.
You can enjoy their hammocks, sleep on the grass, swim on their pool or go horseback riding.
You can also try their kiddie swings or their famous giant swings with a majestic view of the clouds and thousands of coconut trees like in Bali, Indonesia.
The 30 pesos entrance fee is so worth it.
Now if you want to spend the night and stargaze in the farm, you can rent their tents overnight.
OVERNIGHT RATES
Ordinary Tent: P250-P350/head
Glamping Tent: P2,000 good for 5 persons
As of writing, the farm isn’t flocked with tourists yet. But I’m sure it will, without a doubt, be a famous, or trending rather, Laguna destination any time soon.
Esmeris Farm is located at Barangay Ilayang San Roque, Liliw, Laguna.
